Capturado presunto responsable de homicidio en zona rural de La Plata (Huila)
- A judge imposed a prison detention order against Jorge David Vivas Peteche, known as “R15”, accused of murdering a man and injuring another person in a rural area of the municipality of La Plata .
The judicial decision came after a request submitted by the Attorney General's Office , which carried out the investigation of the events that occurred on July 6, 2025 in the village of El Tablón.
According to the prosecution, the defendant had an argument with two brothers at a local business. During the altercation, he allegedly attacked one of them repeatedly with a bladed weapon, killing him at the scene. The other man was injured and had to be taken to a medical center for treatment.
A prosecutor from the Immediate Reaction Unit (URI) charged Vivas Peteche with aggravated homicide and assault. However, the accused did not accept the charges.
The arrest was made by uniform members of the National Police on a public road in the La Estancia neighborhood, in the same municipality where the events occurred.
Authorities are continuing with the legal process while they work towards a full clarification of the case.
